We will have room for CB if he chooses WSU.
    Agree on these!!! :D

You can also be a man of your word and still tell others something to be polite and or politically correct.
I'm not saying that's what happened, only that I don't think using that kind of tactic, in the world of recruiting where everyone is told they are the best in the world, does not go against the values we know our coach to possess.
Question mark on these ??? :o

Yeah, I can easily see how a player that averaged 12 points a game- Bowles is a lot more polished than a player who averaged 20 points a game- Barnes and being recruited by Oklahoma, Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida just to name a few. Which one of those schools were recruiting Bowles?

I saw Barnes play and he is polished enough to make an immediate impact. His arsenal comes replete with in-game tomahawk dunks. He is an athletic beast who plays with no fear.

I would guess Mark and Scott are very high on Bowles considering the number of scholarships available and the possibility of getting Barnes.

Did they offer Bowles early to ward off the oncomming ACC intrest?

To get back on topic, Shorter should recognize that there would be little to no playing time next year but we will be losing Matt, Sean and PJ after that. After a year of prep school he'd could possibly have 4 years of playing time.

That is not my analysis, but that of someone whose opinion means a lot more than yours or mine.

Here is an article and some quotes on the Shorter issue and the lack of scholarships.

And there's always the chance that Baker doesn't qualify. If Shorter or some others hold off until late, something may open up there as well.

Yes, listen to SR. Things are good when we have these kind of kids interested in our program. The facts are that in recruiting, most of the time you lose.

Who's not relaxed? I don't think anybody is jumping off of a building because of this.

I do think MT is a man of his word, but I can't help but think something could change if Barnes wants to come to WSU. I don't know what that means other than breaking his word to Hatch or Bowles, or pushing someone out after the season.

I guess I'd feel better if either A) Barnes dropped us from his list, or B) MT has made it clear that things change and what was promised two years ago can't always be honored today.

I guess I'm just uneasy about still being on Barnes list and the stories of MT keeping his word to Hatch.
I agree with this. If Barnes had said "yes", what would we do? Break our word to Hatch? I don't like this "recruiting kids who will come in two years" deal. I hope Hatch comes ready to work his behind off to prove that recruiting him was a good idea.
