Durley almost played in the MVC tournament.

Turgeon in a moment of anger sent him to scorer table to come into the game. There was timeout and it looks like the assistant coaches talked him out of it as he reconsidered and pulled him back.
Actually, I believe that was Chris Brown.
I definitely could be wrong. For some reason its on my brain that it was Durley, but it happened so fast and long ago I'm probably mistaken.

It depends on what shape he's in. Considering JT's laziness and big body, out of shape probably means "30-40 pounds overweight and getting winded walking up stairs." It'd probably take more than 2 weeks to get rid of 40 excess pounds and run more than 3 minutes without getting extremely tired. The guy had a knee injury. He probably sat around playing XBOX and eating snacks everyday after class until he had rehab. By the time he got rid of a majority of those pounds and got into game shape last season, he would have probably had less than a half of a season left. I doubt the coaches and JT wanted to waste a season of his playing career on 10-15 games.

        • Talked to the coaches wife. Wont be here for awhile. Even if he makes it this year he wont play. He is in public school. All students tests had to be retested and graded. The top private schools went first and at bottom of the ladder is the public schools. He has passed the SAT and his GPA is good. Told a story about a KU troll named Manning who (oh well wont go into that). This is what I understood, I maybe wrong but Im recalling from memory. :posterwsu: 8) 8)

Is that next year - as in January? Or is it next year - as in August?

That my actually turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Do we really want to use up a year of eligibility with a team that is struggling to put enough points on the board to beat even so-so teams.

Really doesn't bother me that much at this point that he is not here, just as long as he get's here in time for next year.

                        • im looking forward to St Louis and this team making a run, and will enjoy any wins we get along the way. I want to get to the next season as soon as possible. But, first I want to thank this years seniors for their efforts to trying to adjust to a new coach, system and teammates.

If you ever lose "Hope" then what is there? This thread is all about "Hope" and the future of WSU basketball.

Now for those who are looking for a Savior, well his birthday is celebrated on December 25th. That kind of pressure probably shouldn't be put on some kid in Africa who nobody has seen play and we don't even know if he will ever step foot on a WSU campus.

I hope you aren't expecting much in STL. Teams playing on the first day typically don't get too far there.
