Can we get an SEC tag-along that doesn't suck one of these years?

You could include Iowa and call it the 4 state classic or include K-State or Nebraska.

If they did the 4 state classic, in two nights, they could play 2 games and equally split the tickets/proceeds between 4. Then they could take a couple of games off the season tickets for a neutral sites. Each team would be responsible for 9000 tickets. I'd pay that if there would be some season ticket relief.

The 4-year agreement with SLU ended this season. We'll have a game in the Mountain West Challenge.

In all seriousness though, knowing the Valley, I would put very good odds on our MWC game being @UNLV next year. #Elgin'd

Lost in all the chatter about a Creighton game, which won't happen, was the hint about a likely game against a brand name opponent in NY or LA. Sounds like a big freakin' deal. Thoughts and speculation? UConn or Syracuse in NY? UCLA or Arizona in LA?

He mentioned that they have been in discussions with the Barclays Center, and then mentioned the possibility of a neutral site game in LA. I don't know if these are 2 separate discussions or if it's one discussion involving the same opponent at either LA or NY. It was clear that he didn't want to get into specifics.

I would imagine that we'll get a Maui home game, similar to Long Beach State and Atlantis this season.

Do we have to play the '92 team, or can we just forfeit the game now?

They seemed pretty pouty about us not actually showing up in their arena with tributes. And I don't just mean the fans. So I'm not sure they would accept a forfeit.

The No Show Chickenhawk Classic would include Mizzou, Creighton, WSU and K-State. Every other team within 3 hours of KC except the Chickens. Would be a great tournament and a sold out crowd with huge pockets of fans from each program

I have a suggestion. Don't even consider Mizzou until they get a new coach and are no longer a drag on the RPI. Bring in Iowa State.

Day 1: ISU vs WSU, CU vs KSU
Day 2: CU vs ISU, KSU vs WSU

We wouldn't get to play CU in that scenario due to KSU and ISU not being allowed to play each other (unless it worked into their conference schedule). But all four teams would get more RPI benefit with no Tiggers.

KState is not interested in improving their schedule in that way. Otherwise, WSU would already be on it. At least KU is right when they say they don't have much to gain from playing WSU. ESPN isn't scheduling 5 no-lose champions classic games a year for KSU though, and they've proven they can't make the tourney.

Would WSU be the 1 seed in Maui? That's not the typical Maui field... I would guess Michigan would get the top seed but that tournament screams WIN ME.

All coaches like to schedule games they think they can win. Look at the situation from other coaches viewpoints. How many coaches want to take on Marshall in CKA?

I wouldn't be surprised to see future scheduling start to look more like the schedules the P5 schools have. 1 good home/home series, 1 neutral site against a name school (ESPN game), 1 solid opponent at IBA, and an exempt tourney. Other than that, any school Marshall feels inclined to give a paycheck with the hope that they might finish with an rpi North of 200.

I think you are correct; but need to ask if you have not not just described this season's schedule?

Notre Dame has been a strong team the last few years. I know Cal has at least been getting a bunch of big time recruits, whether they are converting into wins or not I don't know. It looks like a fairly strong field at this point.
