Shaq has now proven he can play for 30 minutes. Playing with a swollen thigh which just about kept him out of the OU game. Was more swollen afterward. Didn't practice today.
OSU has a guard that will play in the league, possible lottery pick.
I assume he is talking about Juwan Evans, a 6-1, 185 Sophomore who is averaging 23.6 PPG. Evans has been to the free throw line 60 times in 8 games so he may be another Jordan Woodward type the Shocks will have to deal with.
Evans did not play against Tulsa due to a bone bruise in his left shoulder. I would expect that he will be avialable and at pretty much full strength for the Shocks.

A good opportunity to work on defending dribble drive penetration before we get to St. Louis.
Coach said that schedule is mostly set for next year. Mentioned the possibility of a game with a marquee opponent at neutral site in NY or LA, but didn't want to say too much about the schedule for next year.
On Creighton, they know that we want to play them, but it takes two to tango.
With everyone we lost our defensive numbers are similar to last year. He is surprised with that.
Also says we have more scorers on this team than any other he's had.
Coach didn't say this, but among players that average at least two 3fg attempts per game, two (Reaves and Smith) are shooting better than 50%, one (Brown) is shooting better than 40%, and one (McDuffie) is shooting 37.5%. Frankamp and Shamet are shooting less than 35% but better than 30%. The three players in the regular rotation that have attempted a three, but less than two per game (Kelly, Nurger, Morris) are a combined 10 for 27; 38%. As a team we are .381! Impressive!
I would be remiss to not mention that Gregg and the team were very pleased with the Shocker turnout in OKC.
I think it's pretty telling that IBA is sold out, OKC had 5000 fans there....
... and CKA can't field a full crowd lately. If the team was wondering what happened to the support or worrying that it was dwindling, these two events answer that question and point the finger in a different direction. It's good we had the opportunity to demonstrate the support for the team that they deserve... but are apparently not getting from some season ticket holders and students.
The Shox represented well in okc. The upper deck across from the benches was almost all Shocker fans. Marshall posed the question to his players before the game "Before you came to WSU how many times did you play in front of 3,00+ fans, now how many of your have played a road game with that many"?
