Winning this tourney put them in a realistic possibility of being a Top 50 team per the RPI

I noticed that Hawkins was on the floor. Must be completely rehabilitated. Paid his debt to society. Allowed to leave the state.

Couple of interesting things in the Drake win.

Drake never trailed, including at the opening tipoff. An administrative technical gave Drake a FT before the opening tip, so Drake was up 1-0 before the game started.

Johannes Dolven, Drake's 12th man, got 5 minutes of garbage time. Including those 5 minutes, he now has 11 minutes on the season. He fouled out.
