Maybe Marshall likes to give players the weekend off to let them catch up on school work, or just take a break if they have a chance. Then leave them on that schedule so they have predictable down time. That might explain having SM on week nights.
They don't need to put it on a weekend to promote fan interest. When it's $1,500 to get on the waiting list for season tickets (if you expect to have any shot at getting a ticket) there's no motivation to do much to promote interest.
Giving the new players a chance to play under the bright lights in front of 6,000 or so fans is a good intro for what they're going to see during the season.
Sometimes I think we complain too much. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I will be attending but find everything pretty boring except for the men's scrimmage so I probably
won't get there until around 7:30. Hope everyone is healthy and participates this year as I really
want to see some players that will be fighting for PT play against one another. Want to see AR.
Want to see RK go against Willis. Would like to see ZB go against MM and see if EH has improved
at all, especially defensively. I am comfortable with CF and LS. I think the season hinges on how well
MM and Willis perform, as well as, SM and RN. About what time will the mens scrimmage begin ?
