  • If it was up to him he wouldn't miss any time. But this isn't high school anymore. He will have to listen to the trainer. They sat him a week of practice earlier in the year when it happened

Sounds like it's one of those things where if you can deal with the pain and discomfort go for it? Can't see him playing Tuesday's game however, no need.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

My daughter had a similar reaccuring situation in high school. Though she never had surgery. Shoulder would pop out after and they got it back in place she'd sit for awhile and go back in. Happened quite often. Happened once playing in college during practice.
Then it stopped don't know if it was the team weight lifting program or what.

What's the point of moderation if this kind of disgusting bullish*t is allowed to be posted here? There has been nothing of substance that has come from his typewriter as far as I can ever remember. Being the narcissist, attention-seeking ***** he is, is one thing. But acting like a wormy, insensitive toad about injuries not once but TWICE within a week is BEYOND defensible.

Do what should have happened a while ago and can this turd.
The best thing to do, if someone doesn't like what someone is posting, is to just put them on their Ignore List.

Otherwise, what is the rule for banning someone? Should it be banning them because people don't like what they post?

          • <<<< Avatar is Austin with my daughter after winning his third state championship in 4 years, they have been around each other since they were in diapers. LOL

I can't count how many times fights on the basketball court had to be separated, he and his brother are both fierce competitors. There is no quit in him, he will push to get back on the court as soon as possible.

So when Austin is called a diamond in the rough it means that we found a fine jewel in a hidden or hard to find location i.e. "The rough". In this case the Arkansas back country where great players might not be plucked with the frequency of large urban areas or basketball hotbeds. It is not a slight on Austin but instead a great compliment which was also bestowed on other greats like McDaniel, Van Vleet and Baker.
              I lovr this post. thx

              • Austin is to have an MRI on Monday. He was able to join the team in activities on Saturday and just reported being sore.

He appears to be ok in the picture below taken on Saturday. Glad to see that they were able to enjoy their trip.

Why ZB? There's about 6 guys not in that photo, probably running with another group.

                        • "Shoulder problems a regular issue for Wichita State freshman Austin Reaves" - Wichita Eagle

                          BY PAUL SUELLENTROP
                          NOVEMBER 27, 2016 5:35 PM

"Wichita State guard Austin Reaves is so experienced in the art of repositioning a dislocated shoulder, he can tell the trainers exactly how to proceed.

“He’s used to dealing with it,” said Brian Reaves, his father. “He knows what events need to take place.” Reaves endured that routine on Friday during WSU’s loss to No. 24 Michigan State during the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. He will undergo an MRI on his right (shooting) shoulder on Monday, according to his father.

“It is what it is,” Brian Reaves said. “He just needs to get the MRI … and figure out what they need to do next.” Until the examination is finished, the extent of the damage can’t be determined and neither can a timetable for his return...."

                            • Also from the article Reaper linked:

“He said it was a little sore, which is understandable,” Brian Reaves said. “He took a pretty good shot. He would have gone back in the game if it was high school. He was more upset that he wasn’t able to help his teammates.”

                              • I have a lot of experience with dislocated shoulders. Had to stop baseball because I dislocated each shoulder multiple times. I got to where I didn't even need help putting the shoulder back in place. Still can't throw a ball without risking it popping out.

I feel his pain, literally. Hope he has more success at recovery than I did.
