Austin can shoot a lot better than Odum. He has the same physical appearance and the will to win. Just wait until he has a few real games under his belt. I think he has the chance to be special.

So glad he picked WSU. He could be pretty special.

As far as vitals go, doesn't he compare to Odum? As far as ability, when Odum was a freshman starter he played a pivotal role knocking us out of the tournament and into the NIT. Although that did turn out very well for us.

I really hope he's more Bobby Sura than Jake Odum, but if not, I'd be happy with a 6'5" point. That'd help on the boards (if he goes to the glass).
Rebounding by guards is more a matter of team design than it is physical stature of the guard. Fred grabbed lots of rebounds because the bigs blocked out and HC3G likes to have his guards rebound on the run, which is quicker than a big finding an outlet in a safe place. With Shamet and Reaves, maybe not so much Conner, I think HC3G will like to implement the same scheme.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Everybody goes to glass who sees the court for the Shockers. The ones who stand out at it, well, stand out. I'm not looking for 4 rebs. a game from the kid, but effective aggression really would be a special trait.

That's because Odum was a REDSHIRT freshman when we saw him. You can grow a lot of stubble in an extra year.

Getting back to the comparison between them, Odum had an extra year of practice and maturity, Reaves has the extra talent and skills. I think the latter is good news for AR's upside as a Shocker, and I'm delighted WSU has him on board.

I sense the approach of many "So easy, Jake Odum can do it" jokes. Actually, I would say a plethora.

Before seeing any game action from Reeves...and just seeing video of him on the net...I'm going of a comparison to Danny Ainge. Yep. That'll probably change once the season starts...but that's my take today. Danny Ainge.

(Disclaimer: sorry to continue the diversion du jour...)

Ask Jake Odum -- he'll know.

So any word on how long Reaves is going to be out this stretch? Is it complications from his surgery or different injury?
