AR reminds me of Matt Brauer ......he's a gamer.

I really enjoyed Matt Brauer as a player but this young man will be a much better player in the future. His overall IQ and feel for making the right play for himself or a teammate are special. A few weeks ago people were afraid to pick him to play more than JR Simon (that's alright they are both shockers and we love them all). After seeing him play three games I am sure many of them would probably like to re-vote. He has been spectacular in his short time as a Shocker. It is alright for us all to be excited about this tall fearless performer

Best of Matt Braeuer and Ron Baker in one petite package.

Two things I love seeing. AR in the game the first 35 minutes and JR in the game the last 5.

                Good article here.

Interesting spot at the end. Arkansas actually had the balls to offer Austin a walk on spot 2 months after he verbally committed to a scholarship spot at WSU. Talk about a HUGE step down

Austin definitely has some "stink" in his game.

“It would end up me getting really mad and me starting a fight,” Wichita State guard Austin Reaves said. “What I liked to do was, when he went up for a shot, I’d hit him in the face and say it was on accident, but it wasn’t.”

Austin was just being easy on big brother using an 'accidental on purpose fist brotherly luv method' rather than the ole metal lunch bucket to the chops treatment.

Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

                    • Austin had to even the odds with his older brother. I always loved my brother & felt bad playing against him on the court. Didn't want to lose, and didn't' want to make him look bad. It turned out great for us because my brother was a better player than me eventually. I imagine this to be the case with the Reaves family. If his brother still is better? I disappointed we missed out on signing him up as a Shocker.

We are spoiled in this program & that's the bottom line because "Stone Cold Steve Austin said so".

great to have a 100% point guard that can easily see over the defense, isn't it?

                          • Shaving...

Hats off to HCGM and his staff for finding and signing AR.
It like deja vu all over except instead of finding the diamond in the rough in Scott City Ks, this time its Arkansas.

The best pure player I've seen at WSU in quite a while. His basic fundamentals are what is so impressive.
I rant towards RefChick all the time that players do not use the ball fake or look off any more.

                            And then along comes AR.

He makes the game fun to watch. Its fun because you are not sure what he is going to do next.
I have a great deal of trouble trying to predict when watching in front of my 55" big screen.

Imagine trying to figure it out when on the floor guarding him.

                            Good luck!

                            That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

Agree with everything but that AR is a diamond in the rough. He is straight up a brilliantly cut, sparkling diamond.
