Marshall absolutely expects specific things from his PG, but I think all of those guys possess the majority of those traits, but perhaps not all. None of them are perfect PGs yet, but they all can be pretty dang good at it.

Wufan is right. We've won before with point guards like Joe Ragland. FVV is a luxury and a rarity.

Not only did we just win with a Joe Ragland, he took us to the Final Four and had a tremendous senior season.

In my humble opinion, he ranks right up there (just below FVV) as one of the finest PG's we have ever put on the floor.

Memories are fading, we won the game at VT on a last second shot by Ragland. And the championship game with Alabama came down to the last few minutes when Hatch hit an absolute dagger.

If Austin does play some at the point he will have some advantages and disadvantages. His height will allow him to see over most point guards and would help when he takes the ball inside. Whether or not he has the speed and quickness to stay of D-1 point guards remains to be seen.

He would certainly seem to possess the BBIQ.

But if Austin is playing much at the point then perhaps Daishon and Samajae aren't working out. We'll see.

Austin and Landry do give the Shocks an option of going big if they want to. Austin and Landry at the guards, Markis and Darral at the 3 and 4 and Shaq or Rauno at the 5. Although I would not expect to see a lot of that lineup.

WSU could run out Shaq, Willis, McDuffie, Brown and Shamet, throw some Kentucky unis on them, and most people wouldn't know the difference.

Maybe I have early stages of dimentia. I don't think so. VT was 50/50 but we led Bama by 5-10 almost the entire way even it got a little close toward the end, we never trailed. The rest were by 20 or more. Imo we were playing good enough to make a deep run in the NCAA if we had made it.

We were up big against College of Charleston at half. Blowout time. Booked my ticket to New York. Andrew Goudelock started hitting every shot from half court in and i was sweating big time. Thrilled with the seven point lead.
