One of the Toronto media types posted something on Twitter about being concerned that the Raps couldn't come back from a 19 point deficit without Kyle Lowry, but fortunately for them, he came back dressed in a Fred Van Vleet costume.

Last night was probably FVV's best game of his blossoming NBA career. He matched his second highest point output (bested only by his effort last February at Orlando when he poured in a career high 15), but his efficiency, +/- and other metrics were far superior in this game. He crushed it.
Major hat tip to FVV and here's to keeping it rolling as he continues to make measured, steady progress in the pros.

I wonder what he could accomplish if he could get to the rim?

Raptors are defending, down one. Fred draws the offensive foul to get his team the ball. Raptors don't take advantage, and end up losing. Pretty cool that he was out there in crunch time, though.
As a side note, the video is hilarious because a young Celtics fan was getting picked up by the mics.
Its odd though, reading through Twitter comments, it seems Raptors fans don't care too much for him..... In fact, almost every tweet I read was NEGATIVE towards his play and towards HCDC for playing him in crunch time.
I never trusted Canadians to begin with. #SaveFred

I'm starting to think that NBA fans lean towards the flashy and uber-athletic players. That's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with for why basketball fans wouldn't love Fred or Ron.
