I've only ever checked (until I stopped) reddit for hockey and survivor, and it's absolutely horrendous there too. Blind deference to whatever the mainstream take has conditioned them to believe and snobbery to any alternatives. Basic. Not surprised it's the same for the college basketball community.

Syracuse's RPI has now dropped to 87, per warrennolan. Combined with their 2 non-Carrier Dome wins and losing record against top 200.

Lunardi had IlSU as Last 4 In and KSU as Last 4 Out. after KSU beat Baylor, he switched them.

The Redbird meltdown in Tulsa early this season is absolutely the greatest factor keeping them out of the tournament. They snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and that stain just won't wash off. While none of the bracketologists watched the game, I'm sure, a win would have cleaned up their resume just enough to keep them in.

And, to be fair, as Jerry Palm likes to point out, WSU has had a really weak SOS. I mean, when you "don't play anyone", that means you had A LOT of opportunities for bad losses. Many more than most of the BCS teams.

Interesting how, amidst the repeated complaints that "if you can't even win half your conference games, you shouldn't be allowed to go dancing", this board seems perfectly fine with Oklahoma State getting a bid. (which they will)

1) Folks on this board watched OSU in person.
2) Giving OSU props makes WSU look better.

Oh, for a world where people stood by their principals and ideals in all cases, not just when it was convenient for them and their agendas.

I have never had much of a problem with putting sub .500 teams in the tourney if the conference is strong enough AND the team challenged itself in the non con schedule and performed well (OSU). If you played a bunch of non con cupcakes then went sub .500 in conference you don't deserve a bid (KSU).

This is why the game is rigged. KState gets tons of chances to get top wins. Mids don't get those same chances.
