He has raw talent but he appears to have a Basketball IQ deficit.

Seems like a number of our players were displaying such against UNI.

It happens to everybody sometimes. No one is without mistakes. But all develop a history also.

Trust me, I want to see him make it. I just believe, based on how the season has played out, that he is going to be advise to go elsewhere.

I hate to say it, but his quick-twitch reminds me of Washpan. Something this current rotation lacks.

We have 2 quick twitch guys on the bench - TT and EH. I hope we can turn both if these guys into shocker ballers.

Northern Iowa just seems to display more mental toughness then us when the two played this season

I'm glad you like TT. I have nothing against him. I still believe in Gregg Marshall to make the decisions necessary to maintain our status as a team to be reckoned with on a national scale. If TT is in our plans so be it. I don't care. However, so far, he has not shown anything more than raw athletic ability in the games I've seen up to this point. Instead of tearing down our entire basketball program, and players who have been very successful like Fred and Ron, point to a time when TT has shown more than raw athletic ability.

TT is used to way more playing time than this, so we shall see what develops. Will the playing time improve next Season for TT? Dunno because he will have plenty of competition wanting the same thing. No doubt TT is quite a talent.

One thing I would like to see more of at the Dance is if our bigs are being doubled down on during plays and not open, kick it out more. If need be, the guards will kick right back to them or take a more wide open 3. We are at our best when we establish the inside, and then go out IMO.

Somehow, someway we also need Shaq and Grady to Not commit unwise fouls, especially far far away from the hoop. They are both playing solid but their minutes limited because of 1 or 2 unwise fouls every solitary game apiece it seems. Stop it!! We appreciate their hustle and playing tough D. but no hands in the cookie jar please because they both get caught most every time anywho. We want you on the hardwood, not the pine. The farther we play now in the single elimination test to come, the better the teams get. The better the teams get, the more we need the best execution inside from Shaq and Grady!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Wow! Don't know that I've ever since this before. Quoting someone twice about 5 hours apart. Obviously, you must have been on a slow burn since your first calm reply to put a lot of words in my mouth. Yes, I like TT. I like all of our players. From this reply, it appears you'd just as soon see Ty move on as you "don't care".

For me, he's just a freshman and most freshmen are not world beaters or game changers. Tearing down our entire program??? Where did you pick that up? And I most certainly didn't saying anything negative about Fred or Ron. You seemed to inject an awful lot out of one small sentence.

Since it went over your head, I'll be more clear. Some of our freshmen and sophomores are still playing like freshmen and sophomores at times. Some are farther along than others. Pretty simple stuff really. I'm not going to "not care" about Ty just because he's learning, what is maybe the most difficult position, too slow for some.

No slow burn here although, I did misinterpret what you said.. I come and go and it took me 5 hrs before I came back. I agree with everything you said, and really don't have a problem with him staying if it makes the program better. I do admit that I have my doubts. But I also recognize that we've had players with raw talent who with time and patience made themselves into very good players.

then who on earth do you have for a PG next year?

Don't even try Frankamp. If he were being groomed to be a PG, he would have had some minutes at the position this year. He was behind JRS in minutes at PG. Moving Baker to PG to rest Fred put a potential AA out of position. If playing Baker out of position instead of using Frankamp at PG (after a year in the program) was the best plan, then Frankamp seems to have shown little ability to play that position in a year of practices.

Shamet is another option, but he hasn't played a minute at that position and has had probably no practice time at PG.

Smith is another option, but he's a JuCo who doesn't know the system. Even the best JuCo PG's have taken half a season or even a year to get up to speed.

If Taylor gets run, then every PG Marshall has signed, since FVV, has been released from the program.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Believe me, I REALLY want to see TT be the next PG. I'm just going off a feeling I have.

If he was going to be the next PG, I feel they would be giving him more minutes already. He's come in behind JRS a couple times this season even.

It's not hard to figure out why JRS is getting more playing time than TT. TT doesn't know the PG position well enough yet. JRS probably knows the PG position better than anyone on the team except for Fred and Ron.

At this point, I'd trust JRS at PG more than TT. And I don't even know if I'd call it close.

If coach would have started JRS over Ty in Orlando, then who knows the outcome of USC game
