I agree with Coach that anyone with a set of eyes who watches D1 can see The Shocks are a worthy team.
He also says, "That's why I say that you have to watch our team..." & "They're (N. Iowa) playing very, very well, as everyone can see."
What makes me nervous about these obvious truths is who's watching the Valley?"You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."

Look at South Dakota State. 24-7, they play in the Summit League, and they only played 1 top 50 team in the non-con, yet they have an RPI of 34. By scheduling 7 road, 2 neutral, and only 5 home games in the non-con, the RPI is giving their 24-7 record a pretty high rank.
South Dakota State won the auto bid, but had they needed an at-large, the RPI wouldn't have been their problem. 0 top 50 wins and a KenPom rating of 78 would have been their biggest obstacles.

Somewhere in the middle probably says that given the extreme closeness of two of the games, WSU would have won 1, more likely both of those two and that the game that was not close would have been much closer with Fred and Anton in the game. Either winning 1 or 2 of those 3 games and no one is having this conversation about whether we're in.

Whose watching the valley you say? The person on the selection committee who is assigned to our conference, that's who.
I think we're in, but people like goatlube, and other not-so-silent voices in the congregation ARE out there. It's a reality.
If I have any sense of the jitters, it would be based solely on conference alliance. Nobody cares that Loyola beat Cretin and swept the Panthers. Nor was anyone watching I'm pretty sure.

To me...I just can't believe Texas Tech at 9-9 in their conference is believed to be in. Wow. On another note...did Jamar ever do a mock up showing the odds of QT as 1 seed playing the cough-cough #16 seed Casey's should they get in? Palm is now saying Casey's sneaks in as a 16 seed.
