If they have 33 at-large cases that are better than WSU, then so be it. But to just be flippant and say that WSU is out is flat-out moronic.
Agree completely. It doesn't seem right that RB and FVV go out in the NIT but its way too soon to tell where they'll be.
I just can't believe this team can't shoot. I understand EW-- he's open for a reason, but RB FVV MM ZB and CF? Just make 1 somewhere.

          That won't be difficult.

I'm waiting for @WstateU: to post a picture depicting that because I'm not quite sure what that means. OTOH, I may not want to see a picture of someone gungulating.

            • To repeat what we have mentioned several times, what might be really helpful to WSU's case is that Louisville and SMU won't be dancing. Those are two spots that potentially should not be available that will be.

Dang, this is going to be a long week.

              • WSU still ranked #10 overall in KenPom, thus continuing to cloud Palm's "thinking," although their offensive efficiency took a big hit today, as one would expect. Their AdjO dropped over a full point, and they're now ranked 78th, the worst of any team in KenPom's top 30. AdjD still #1, of course, and slightly improved to 89.8.

I'm not worried about whether they'll be in, and don't have any particular anxiety about waiting until next Sunday to find out where and against whom. My concern is whether they'll go back to playing team offense and can hit some shots, because if they do they'll be a tough out -- but if not, their appearance could be less than enjoyable. Still, I just looked back at their final home game in 2013, a miserable shooting performance in a 59-56 home loss to Evansville, and it reminded me of how things can turn once NCAA play begins.

Now to spend the next few days in the gym shooting threes...

                • Who are these imbeciles on CBSSN?

Brendon Haywood was adamant WSU shouldn't be in "because they have beaten nobody and don't have a single signature win".

Seth Davis agreed and added LSU has a better resume and that the Shockers have "no argument".

                  How are these people employed?

And as we speak, Andy Katz is on ESPN2 saying WSU is in and listed the reasons for inclusion.

Seth Davis is a schitzo so I don't trust him. Jerry Palm has been discussed ad nauseum for being an ignorant wanker. CBS seems to have something against WSU. Thankfully they only broadcast games and aren't committee members. But man, do they have an agenda. Eff em.

                    • They must really be scared of us since they feel the need to shout us down. You can see the P5 lovers conspiring. They are afraid to schedule us then they say we don't beat anyone. It is total horseshit if we don't make it and everyone knows it. Don't want to see our shockers in the tournament.

Apparently a 17 point thrashing of top-15 team Utah (which finished second by a game in the Pac-12), a game that was every bit as one sided and dominant as the score suggests, was a win over nobody and thus not a "signature" win. Who are these guys indeed, Sundance?

By the way, how many of those glorious Power5 "resumes" do you suppose will be stained by this time next week with a loss before the finals of their conference tournaments -- maybe even some in the early rounds? Also, I just brought up the Bracket Matrix website, which showed that as of 9:13 pm (not sure what time zone), WSU appears in 87 of the 89 brackets, with an average seed of 8.78. No doubt some bracketeers haven't updated yet, and the Shocks will likely fall from their current perch -- though, as I've said before, I'd rather see 10-11 than 8-9 anyway -- but to say they don't belong is outlier talk and then some.

Regular season success only matters to KU. We never hear about their success in the big 12 tourney " hint they get beat". It's all about regular season for them , why is it different for us ?

                            • Hopefully the Shocks will get a shot in the Big Dance. We obviously can look pretty bad when we are shooting poorly and perhaps that has happened a few too many times over the past month.

However, one thing I am pretty confident of is that Gregg Marshall, Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker are 3 very, very competitive men. I would expect a very focused and determined Shocker team the next time we see them wherever that may be and I am looking forward to it.
