i'm not sure how effective he will be though when/if he comes back. rust/chemistry/fitness/stamina issues after sitting out so long. the ron baker thing was kind of rare and as somebody else mentioned, he had already redshirted?

Could you please answer the question. What do you mean when you say that Landry is the "best athlete" on the team?

Why would they bring him back? Just give him a Medical Redshirt and call it good. Coming back for 2 regular season games then the tournaments is a waste of a season.

But yeah, why would any team want to add an athletic 6'4 guard who can defend, handle, shoot, assist, and rebound? Makes no sense to me.

We have opinions on both sides of the play vs redshirt decision Landry and the Coaching staff will be making. Seems like the majority thinks/hopes/wants Landry to play. Of course, we all know that as fans what we think/hope/want will have exactly zero impact on the ultimate decision.

It's very difficult to make an informed decision on the outside. There is just a lot of information we simply are not privy to. What we do know is that Landry with input from Docs, Trainers, Coaches and Family will make the decision based on what he and the Coaches believe is in 1) Landry's best interest and 2) the team's best interest.

If Landry comes back and the Shocks get dumped in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament some will say he should have redshirted. OTOH, if he redshirts and the Shocks get dumped in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament some will say he should have played.

Hopefully, we don't have a result that causes a lot of 2nd guessing.
