They could get to 9-9 but I don't see how. They are going to continue to wear down as the season goes on, making winning, especially on the road, even more difficult.

At large hopes still alive though. Moved to next 32 out.

Oh and wait, we'll see how things are next year.

    From the Uni board:

"We'll beat you next year. As much as I ride Coach, he has made progress during the slide. I have met him and he has the same magnetic personality as the rest of our coaches. Why don't you teach the losers on your forum how to analyze. Then you can talk some smack on here. "
If we were UNI fans, we'd spend more time writing analytical posts on a message board during the game, too. The alternative is actually watching it.

If I were the ESPN producer and saw those uniforms and t-shirts, I'd pack up the cameras and refuse to put that abomination on TV. And one of either Addidas, Nike or Under Armour should be fined by the FCC.

                • Both Jake White's former and current teams reside in first place in their respective leagues. Jake with 13 points and 4 rebounds in a 85-79 UNO victory over ORU.

The one difference is that Jake is playing in a better conference than WSU....the Summit League.

Unfortunately, this is true. While Wichita State would be in the top of almost any conference, the rest of the Valley is about as weak as I can remember. Maybe when MSU upgrades to the Sun Belt, the Valley will bring in UNO.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I would not mind adding UNO one bit if we are doomed to remain here.

                          • I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that. Jake white's transfer resulted in a standout senior season in a conference that is a step up from the MVC. I must admit I never would have seen that coming.

There isn't a lot to wrap your head around. You have a team in Missouri that is broke, a team in Chicago that plays in a high school gym and a team in Des Moines that might as well not exist. UNI has won in the past with smoke and mirrors, but with the flop no longer being called, well, they either shoot 50% from three or lose. Indiana State is the number three public school in their state, number six overall in Indiana, you get the drift... Bradley is lost, on and on and on and on. When Evansville, coached by Marty Simmons is your number two team in the conference. welI, overall, the Summit is a better league. Wichita State and Gonzaga have something in common, great programs in crappy leagues.

The Summit is not a good league, but better than the Valley.

4 and because they aren't ready for D1 competition. I don't mean to sound smug, they just aren't D1 players and they are hoping to develop them into 5th seniors at some point.

Everyone hopes their young players can step in right away. Even with our stellar class this year, only 50% were ready to contribute.

I don't get how their fans expect them to be any good next year though. They will roll out Morgan, Lohaus, Knar, Carlson and Koch. That's pretty light, and there's practically zero experience behind that group. That's a tough way to win, in any conference.
