2015-16 Media love thread

What a class this year! The four freshman listed above plus Frankamp, Grady, and Allen. We didn't land any top 50 freshman, but otherwise fantastic!

Assuming the third team is the scout team (it's probably the 4th team actually), then the WSU scout team is:

Taylor, Allen, McDuffie, Hamilton, Nurger.

obviously, wichita state won't take a step back next year. they will maintain, clearly (talent says so). it's really no different than north carolina losing michael jordan and kenny smith, but then bringing in brad daugherty and j.r. reid. or ucla losing lew alcindor and lucias allen (?) but then bringing in sidney wicks and curtis rowe.. or walton and wilkes.

it will be tough sailing, though. nobody wins the missouri valley twelve years in a row, for example. nobody. big-12? yes. missouri valley? no way in hell.

What's really interesting about the depth is that a PG could impact the playing time of a center. Let's just say that Frankamp is tearing it up and needs minutes. Perhaps he starts at the 2 and Ron moves to the 3. Wessel plays the 4 and Grady the 5. Since Zach is going to get his time, Nurger falls off the map.

Every time he mentions WSU on air he says "Wheeeaat Shockers" and almost whistles as he says wheat. It's so annoying and very condescending.

Gottlieb just enjoys firing up WSU fans. He says they are only about a 20-30 ranked team. Says Shox lost their best big defender in Carter (didn't he play most of last year with 4 fouls?). Says WSU has 2 good 'college' players in Baker and Fred... but that WSU lost their soul in Cotton. Doug being Doug. Don't feed him.

Actually, if I read correctly the quote Royal posted, it said "best big, best defender". We did lose our best big, but I think we have some better bigs on this current team. Also, even though we lost our best defender in Cotton, we still have enough good talent where his loss won't be a problem.
