Saying that, I think that once we get Connor, with or without Fred, we will get this fixed.

We have great freshman guards, but I think our expectations for them are currently a little high, as it's a hell of an adjustment from high school to high major NCAA basketball.

Definitely. We have had our expectation level on an upswing for almost a decade now. At some point, we were always going to plateau a little somewhere. Bringing in a lot of freshman who have to play right away along with a similarly new sophomore class and then having your best player get hurt to start the season is obviously going to be tough.

And it's okay to lose a bunch of games in November. We will have more of a mountain to climb later if we do, but it doesn't mean any of these players' goals for this season have changed just yet. We're still here to win a title with two all Americans. Right now we have one of those trying to carrya cast of newcomers.

I sure hope we win this tournament and get rolling.

I absolutely agree with this statement. We could. USC is going to be solid. I think we can beat them without FVV, but we will have to play well and get better contributions than we've got from several people. I also think that if FVV doesn't play and we do lose to USC, the sky still will not be falling.

On another note, just because of what the coaches, players, and other ShockerNetters have said, I'm very excited to see what CF brings to the table when he becomes eligible.
