Answer: Nothing.
The RPI of our opponents, and whether we won or lost, does matter.
I just thought that point needed clarifying in this discussion.

If you follow the math it makes zero sense. Either RPI is indicative of team strength or it isn't. If we can judge the quality of your opponents based on their RPI, we can just as accurately judge the quality of your team based on your RPI.

That's just a ranking, greatness meter argument. I would love to see us get two ACC teams on the NONCON. But we are still in the building process. I don't know how far away a new conference might be, but if our goal is to become a real "Powerhouse," we will eventually have to see changes in our conference. So noncon is simething we can control while we wait for our conference o rise to the occassion(or leave). I don't think the MVC is cupcakes, but if we wanna climb the ladder anymore, we need to schedule bigger games. Not too many, but a few.
For the umpteenth time, scheduling is a two-way street. We aren't gonna be sacrificial lambs that need to be bought either. We aren't in that position anymore. If you wanna complain about scheduling, don't blame it on the WSU end.
I dunno how many games we've scheduled decent named schools only to watch them flop the year we play them (Memphis, Seton Hall, Alabama). All of those were preseason NCAA teams last year. One of them was even ranked for a short while. Now, is that WSU's fault that all of those teams tanked? Nope.
Either you're painfully ignorant to all of this, which I guess is possible, or you're a bored Lawrencian trolling the interwebz.Last edited by ShockerFever; April 22, 2015, 05:37 PM.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.
