I am in LA and Tuesday night I was returning to the Long Beach Marriot after dinner and there was a fire truck and ambulance outside the entrance. As I was going through the lobby, four firemen were wheeling an empty stretcher out of the elevator. I was wearing a Shocker pullover and as the firemen went by, one of them yells across the lobby "Go Shockers!" and gives me a thumbs up. Made me laugh . . .

Not a damned thing that is critical is getting done in my office today. I'm making sure that I am working on non-detail oriented designs today or our customers are going to get some seriously jacked up machinery. I think the ND offense is very good but the Shocks D will be able to disrupt their O more than their D will disrupt our O. Make sense?

Notre Dame has a prolific offense but we can score the ball too. WSU has a nasty defense but statistically Notre Dame has the athletes to step up their game.

Tekele Cotton vs Jarius Grant should be epic. Connaughton vs Wessell is underrated. VanVlee vs Johnson.

It's interesting that our last two games have been played at the fastest pace (69 possessions in regulation) since we played Newman (and before that, Memphis) in mid-November. I expect the tempo to slow a little tonight since ND, despite being wickedly efficient on offense, does not play a fast pace (222nd in adjusted tempo per KenPom).

What does it mean?

We'll see in 7 hours.

I think what it means is we will open some eyes tonight :)

I'm past the point of being emotionally attached to the idea of losing. Once you get this far, you've already done something you can hang your hat on. It's okay to lose even though you always hope for more. That being said, I'd really just like to see WSU come out and destroy someone and clear the bench. We haven't gotten to see too many of those this year. I know it's unlikely but there's a part of me that feels like we are due.

And I REALLY want that Kentucky game.

These games scare the crap out of me, because just as you think you are about to get momentum they drop a three and keep the scoring margin tight. It's like you have to be "on" the entire freakin' match with no time to breath. Actually that's how we suffocate other teams too. This could be nerve-racking for both sets of fans.

Kinda funny that both sets of fans have expressed that "we are playing with house money" mentality though.
