I agree with you, but the ironic part for me is, I won't be nearly as mad if we lose. I would have gone full nuclear if we had lost to KU. I'm not going to say I'm satisfied now that we beat KU, but the idea of getting bounced from the tourney by ND is far easier to swallow.

That said, our boys need to bring it and again, play like their hair is on fire. No let down and show those Golden Domers what's up.

    • I'm just gonna say it and maybe I'll eat my words, but I've got this feeling Notre Dame is gonna be this year's "Pitt" situation if you know what I mean.

But what is their neutral court record?

Hee hee. I think that was Indiana though. I think Kansas was our Gonzaga. ND feels more like an Ohio State situation.

            Shocks are 2 point favorite.

How can it be? The lowly MVC v. the mighty ACC.

I'll admit that it's a bit unreal that we have a chance to take out both the Big 12 Conference Champs and the ACC Conference Tournament Champs in less than a weeks time. Half way there.

              • Having just beaten the Elitist KU, it seems most appropriate for the Shox to once again advance to the Elite 8, and beyond.

But Indiana was a very close, difficult game. What I mean is I'm wondering if this is gonna be that game where the Shockers put together a stifling overall effort and reduce star players to tears like what's his name. I suppose it won't happen because Notre dame is very good, but it's fun to think about. :) you never know.

                  • I'm telling you, we have an opportunity to go down as having, if not the best, the second best college basketball season of all-time once we dispatch ND, Kentucky, Arizona and Duke. Think about it, 5 of those 6 programs are in the top 10 in terms of all-time wins. Arizona is in the top 20.

We will have run the gauntlet beating ZERO mid-major programs, beating (4) blue-bloods and (2) fringe blue-bloods. I dare you to find any champion, since the tourney expanded to 64 teams, that did anything remotely close. All the while without one 4/5 star recruit or McDonald's All-American.

I realize I'm blowing some serious smoke and overzealous, but a man can dream. Oh, and like last time, I will not be watching the game in the interest of public safety and not cursing the Shox.

Play Angry and Play Like Your Hair Is On Fire boys!

                      • Well on those notes- good luck Shockers. I'll be headed up to Cleveland in the morning and am hoping for no injuries for either team. Here's to a good game and the winner beating Kentucky on Saturday if West Virginia doesn't do us any favors tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by. Win or lose, don't be a stranger in the future.

I actually feel pretty good about this one. KU shot the ball very well against New Mexico State...our defense took them out of it when they played us. ND is a great shooting team, but I think we can keep their guards in front of us and push the perimeter out a little farther than they feel comfortable with. I know they have played tough teams and done well, but they have not played us--yet.

The records I gave include all games away from home, including both road and neutral. Notre Dame is 7-1 neutral this year.
