They're going to be favored by at least a couple of points. If there's a cardinal rule to court storming it is that you don't rush court for games you're already expected to win.

I wouldn't be surprsed at all if they are not favored. I think Vegas will have the Shox by 5. For as much as the media complain about WSU not belonging all the time, they definitely don't think the Panthers belong. Nobody in Vegas is going to be that bought in on Northern Iowa. The pollsters want them gone way more than they want us gone, and they REALLY want us gone :)

I have zero experience with wild animals, but if I were counseling any willing party I would say if you really want to spice up your life mount it first, then shoot it. If you survive the experience give me a call and brag about it.

I hope that one of their flops results from a teeth-jarring collision with The Great Wall of Shaq. In which case, it would not be a flop, but rather a demonstration of the laws of physics. Shaq will have a negative number of flops.

I've been annoyed at this topic in the media recently. They're playing with random date cut offs, and what is or is not considered "modern history" (whatever that means). The REAL MVC win streak is held by KU, and we have a ways to go before we hit that - not the next couple of games.

Perhaps but some people argue that the Big 8 Conference's history includes the Missouri Valley Conference years through 1928. At that time it was called the Missouri Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MVIAA). In 1928 KU, KSU, Missouri, Nebraska, OU and Iowa State split off into what was called the Big 6 Conference. Only Oklahoma State and 3 private schools (Drake, Grinnell College and Washington University) were left behind becoming known as the Missouri Valley Conference. Colorado joined the Big 6 to make the Big 7 in 1947 and Oklahoma State left the MVC after the 1956 season to make the Big 8.

So Drake is the long standing member of the MVC irrespective of how when you want to start counting. Drake joined the MVIAA in 1907 which was only the 2nd such conference behind the Big 10. Drake was the only current member leftover when the Big 6 split in 1928.

The Wheatshockers joined in 1945 and Bradley in 1948. Both Bradley and Drake left the conference in the 1951–52 academic year in protest over the Johnny Bright Incident, a racially motivated on-field attack by an Oklahoma A&M (OSU) football player against Drake player Johnny Bright in a 1951 game. Bradley returned to the MVC for non-football sports in the 1955–56 school year, with Drake doing the same a year later.

Of course, the MVC has gone through many changes since those days and the other current 7 members of the conference all joined at various dates between 1977 and 2013.

So it is understandable why there might be some uncertainly over what counts as a Missouri Valley Conference record.

Basically, in 1928 the Missouri Valley Conference was born in a somewhat similar fashion to the current new Big East.

That said I think this team wants to beat KU's record and eliminate any doubts or question marks.
