At least a month ago on another thread predicting the number of league losses I
responded with ONE and specifically at UNI so I'll stand by that. Having said that
I will be more than happy with a fine dish of crow served to me Saturday evening.

Wow, he really did write this. God help him if he shows his face around here again. It's one thing to write nice neutral "look forward to the game" post on an opponent's board. It's something else entirely to go there just to insult everyone on a board that you participate in. So dumb.

Wondering if I heard (or interpreted correctly) what Mike Kennedy said pre-game last night. Hopefully someone can clarify for me. I thought I heard him mention that Wichita St. is closing in on TYING a MVC most wins in a row RECORD. And if I heard correctly...I think we would tie the RECORD with a WIN Saturday. Anybody catch that too...or am I way off??? Thanks in advance!

We have won 27 in a row, a record for modern era (and current member) MVC teams. The all-time MVC win streak record is held by KU - 34 straight from 1922-24.

We tie that mark if we start 16-0 in the MVC, break it if we start 17-0.

I've been annoyed at this topic in the media recently. They're playing with random date cut offs, and what is or is not considered "modern history" (whatever that means). The REAL MVC win streak is held by KU, and we have a ways to go before we hit that - not the next couple of games.

Generally I agree. But there are other things that come into play as well. For instance, not often do they get a chance to play a Top 20 team at home. Not often is the conference race so tied to that game. Not often does a game present itself to MVC teams that basically assures them of NCAA play. Not often has that opponent demolished them and their conference mates in 32 consecutive matches. I don't think it's that hard to justify a court-storming in this particular case.

We just WIN -- see, situation handled; no decision need be made.
