Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

And did anybody else see that Dana is getting sued at Oregon? My, the schadenfreude is thick today.

But then you look at DePaul, which wouldn't appear to have even MVC talent judging from their result in Hawaii, and yet is three games up (one head to head) on the Jayboys -- after three games. (Maybe DePaul's players are exceptionally sensitive to east-to-west jet lag? Yeah, that's it.)
Or you look at McDermott's record at Iowa State, which led to his escape to Creighton, and which suggests that his ability as a recruiter to upgrade from "MVC talent" has been found wanting in the past.
Or you look at... ah, the heck with it -- it's getting late, and I'm tired. Bottom line is that joining a stronger league at the exact moment their main player was about to finish up was not a recipe for success, and it's playing out exactly as one might have expected. I keep telling you, they should have joined the WAC -- Nebraska is west, not east! Besides, doesn't the idea of a matchup between Creighton and Seattle, or CU and Cal State Bakersfield, just get the old juices flowing? Those CU students would be beating down the doors. They could even have had their old fellow Valley alum New Mexico State as a built-in rival. What an opportunity missed.

Nebraska's loss to Creighton (RPI 122) was actually worse than their loss to Incarnate Word.
Nebraska is obviously going to have to be more selective about which Catholic schools they play. (And, of course, avoid DePaul.)

No wonder they were competitive in the Valley but never in the tournament. I'm glad our coach tries to recruit players that are Top 10 talent instead of just MVC talent. It has made things so much more entertaining.

Heaven forbid they become an All-American or get drafted to the NBA.
