Wish we could get someone better for the IBA game.

Anyone remember our last home and home with the Utes?

Rick Majerus had just arrived and we'd just promoted Cohen. Things are slightly different now thank god.

Were not necessarily limited to one game at IBA. If that's what it took to get Utah to agree to a home and home then so be it.

I love the way the schedule keeps getting better and better. I'm looking forward to a lot of quality games in the years to come.

A solid game, but I kind of wonder if we could have gotten a better deal out of it. First, we deserve a better game at IBA, and the fact that they already offered it to Utah might say something about how they feel about the 15-16 schedule. (Yes, we could do multiple IBA games, but just please no.)

Second, why are we away first? I thought that is something typically something to be bargained with and considered advantageous, getting the first home game. In our three other big series (SLU, Ala, Tenn) we went there first.

Well I believe we have Alabama and St.Louis at home next year so I'm sure Marshall was fine with starting on the road against Utah.

Why not go on the road first? Plus, the way it is now, we're lacking road games for the noncon, because of those games like SLU and Alabama. Going on the road first is an easy price to pay.

I like the Utah game. Solid team that'll have a solid RPI and resume next year.

I'd really like to see one big name game next year, though. UConn or UCLA would be perfect for that. Memphis is okay if that's the best we can do.

Maybe a UCLA game as a pitstop before (or after) Hawaii ;)

It's a good game and happy to get it. But I really don't think IBA should have been used as a bargaining chip in this type of game. Utah is a decent program but they haven't been relevant in about a decade. This should have been a straight home and home, finishing up at Koch. We're the ones with the leverage.

                        ... No really, deuces.

True, but this could have been in the works for a couple of years. Scheduling is an ongoing problem an you don't start scheduling next year at the end of the current year.

I think crying over playing Utah is lame...we get to play a Pac-10 team..period...

I noticed that Utah is playing the Chickenhawks at Sprint Center rather than in Lawrence. Guess KU is losing its leverage...

I don't think anyone is crying, it's just not something to get overly excited about. Would you be jumping for joy if we got Rutgers or TCU on the schedule? Not that they're better than (or even in the same ballpark quality wise as) Utah, but being excited based on conference affiliation when we're at the level that we're at is lame.
