Moderators, I don't see the response that featured the profane reference about Steve Eck...if it was removed, then I apologize for copying it and agreeing with it.Not the language I would have used, but the same general antipathy to Coach Eck.

I wouldn't be surprised if Manhattan doesn't take him back. I've seen people fired after 5+ years because they lied on their resume. It's like lying on your time card. You just don't do it.

Manhattan better not take him back.

I remember when Royce Waltman was fired at Indiana State (2008, maybe?), what frustrated him was that guys are given second, third, and fourth chances if they win. You can cheat your butt off and be a total moral scum bag, but winning will make people overlook that. However, if a coach loses, he is treated like a pariah where no one will touch him. You can be doing all the other things right, but if you don't win games, you are treated as if you are lower than scum.

Glad to see someone trying to keep it clean around here. We have some posters who need civility training.

Seems to have worked out well for South Florida. George O'Leary has built them up well.

It might be a good idea to send a notification to the poster. I had no idea that I had offended anyone nor that my post had been deleted.

How about an assistant from Georgia Southern:

With nine years of experience as a Division I Head Coach, Randy Peele will be an asset for the Georgia Southern Coaching Staff. Peele served four seasons at UNCG
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I have a hunch about the Masiello situation and it might just be paperwork that he forgot to do or even a fee he didn't pay and thus his actual graduation was held when he thought it wasn't It happens a lot more than people think.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

Even if he never formally resigned, I'm hoping they would fire him for lying about his education. If you do that in any other field they wouldn't even think twice about it. He got several good years out of his dishonesty. I bet he could find an assistant job somewhere or be a paraprofessional at a high school.
