Not sure I buy that analysis but I'm not in that business either. We'll know soon enough but didn't we have roughly the same type of personnel last year when we destroyed Pitt, Gonzaga, Ohio State and nearly beat Louisville?

I know we discussed this, but Coach Pitino mentions WSU in a sort of recent press conference here.
It's difficult to hear the questions, and listen to as much as you want, but his comment starts around the 10 minute mark.
I am not the biggest Pitino fan, but I certainly respect his talent, I love the way his teams play and how he adjusts, he's one of the best coaches ever in college basketball, and his continuing man-crush for WSU is worth a bow. He's intelligent and funny and always a good listen.
His career is better than I thought....in the 22 years he's been a college head coach since his first year at Providence in 85-86, 22 seasons, he's won 2 National Championships, 1 runner up and 4 addition Final Four appearances. That's 7 out of 22 seasons he's been in the Final Four. Damned near 32%. 4 additional Elite 8 trips. That's FIFTY flipping percent of the time the man gets the final 8. The announcer asked him "to win it all?", to which he followed up with "Absolutely."The AssmanComment

Between the fans that come to post here and Pitino's continuous praise of our program, my second favorite team is the Cards. Outside of playing us, I will be pulling for them every step of the way. Interesting read in the LRJ
The comments section (Tyler Emerson) is exactly what I had to deal with for my 4 years at KU. Interestingly, a recent poll I placed on Phognet (before it was moved by HawkAlum from JoCo) indicates more phog posters from JoCo area than Lawrence.
