If a guy walks on, takes the redshirt, and goes on to become first team preseason all conference in his second year of eligibility, I'm not sure the phrase "steal of the recruiting class" does it justice.

Splitting hairs. Jamar Howard paid his own way one semester. Armstead, Baker and Coleby for one year. They were all walk-ons in my book, but are no longer.
