Enjoy the moment. These are rich times and don't come along often at all.
That is all.
In fact, I'd say someone who is trying to downplay that probably isn't enjoying the moment.

Bush was "setting good screens"... What?
Were you watching @ 5:09 when he tried to set one for FVV but due to bad spacing, ended up pinching him against the sideline causing a turnover.
FVV even chewed his ass good for doing it!
Even when he tried to set one when and things turned out well, he almost screwed the whole play.
On TC's drive and foul, he obviously hooked the defender from contesting TC's drive.
He was fortunate that the lead was strictly watching TC's drive and didn't see his illegal screen.
WSU made a run during his time due to one thing - they finally made some shots.
EW, RB & FVV all hit treys during 8+ minutes he played in the first half. HCGM made the same comment to Johnson at the halftime interview.
He did what they asked him to do - played hard, ate up time and did so to the level he is capable of doing.
Nothing more.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.

BWam was once a volleyball player and I can see that experience paying off in blocked shots."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

On a rewatch, I saw Bush affect at least two KU shots within 10 feet, both of which missed. He may not have been great, but his presence caused a pause to KU's interior game, both from the posts and guards that got near the lane. And his long arms deter the guards from trying to pass to the screener on pick-and-rolls after he hedges. Going from 6'7 to 6'11 inside clearly caused KU to rethink their gameplan while Bush was in.

It has always blown my mind that one or two otherwise credible posters have fellated ShockRef at every opportunity over the years on here. He is a pompous, arrogant ass, and the fact that a Division II/JUCO referee invokes General Patton by imitation at the end of every post is a little like the 120 pound backup rightfielder on a little league team paying homage to Babe Ruth every at bat by calling his shot. Cute at first simply for the absurdity, then increasingly sad upon repetition.
Every year he goes on good behavior for about a half dozen posts in a row, then returns to his condescending ways. He is insufferable. A decade ago, he wished for folks on here to like him and was, at times, a good contributor to the board. That was a very, very long time ago.

I don't have it out for him, per se. He is what he is.
My point is Wichita State can and will do better.
WSU is now firmly entrenched in a new frontier of basketball.
They have aspired and worked hard to reach the level of Gonzaga. A Final Four, 35-0 and back to the Sweet 16 in consecutive years equals mission accomplished.
It also requires the continual recruitment and commitment of this level of student athletes, to maintain the status.
During the Scott Thompson, Mike Cohen and Randy years, he may has sufficed. But I don't remember any Shocker fans content with the results.
The Lance Kroll's, Chris Grills et all were on board.
You weren't satisfied with the performance and neither was I. Do you really want to venture back to those times?
Play Angry Boy,
I have forgotten more about officiating, coaching and evaluating basketball talent in the last 5 minutes than you can even dream about.
Deal with it.

Bush played fine on Sunday. That is about as uncontroversial statement as someone can find on here, and making more out of the argument than that is just silly.

I think that most opinions/statements on Bush are missing the mark. I think that to dismiss B Wam's improvement this year and that has the potential to be an important contributor next year is a mistake. I also believe that anyone who feels really confident and is willing to gamble/depend on him making enough improvement next year to be a major force inside is making a mistake. I feel more confident in Shaq's ability to be a force than B Wam's. We need to have two inside players approaching 10 pts and 5-10 rebounds. Then historically we need a 3rd to hold down the fort when the other two have foul problems. The 3rd is where Bush is today. In conclusion, we don't have a strong inside game this year and we are losing our best Center.
