Not sure what qualifications, if any, many of you have in crowd judging, but last night's crowd was pretty good.... save half the student section being empty.

Well, once again, we pat ourselves on our little back. I'm sure the rest of us heard Coach's comments, but it takes you to blow your own horn. We have all heard about the wonderful, marvelous job you do, and, of course, you do it better than anyone else, but Lord am I tired of hearing about it. As the good Dr. said, the students that show up do a great job. You don't blame students for not going to the game? Really?
The fact that the student section is only two-thirds full is a crime. A crime which Marshall also mentioned in his post-game comments. Making excuses for that weak attendance is indefensible.
The student section should be filled for every game. Period.Wear your seatbelt.Comment

In 2005-2006-early 2007 the student section was packed every night, weekday or weekend. Students were coming. So now in 2008, when the section's half-empty, it's because those students started worrying about having to stay up til midnight? No. It's because there's probably an even greater percentage of student bandwagoners than non-student bandwagoners and they only go to games (free, btw) when WSU is winning..

If that student section was full, it would be harder for me to attend games. ;-)
BTW: I was on my feet whenever the teams were playing, just like almost everyone else in sections 116 and 117 (hope I got the GA sections right :D ), and I noticed that most fans in other sections were sitting most of the time. (Just so you know, I'm older than a lot of you.)
Everyone could do more - more students could attend games and more season ticket holders could stand throughout the game (not just in OT). On the other hand, SIU, MSU, etc. probably cannot even imagine the attendance we take for granted. Fighting over who (students or season ticket holders) does more is pointless. You are all falling down on the job because we didn't have 10,400 for a single volleyball match this year!! :lol:Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
