As the creator of this topic I must say that the fans seemed great, from TV. I wasn't able to attend. When we were making our run it seemed pretty loud. Lots still sitting, but it was better than the other night. They even showed an older guy screaming at the ref, it was awesome. But we have to work on this leaving with 2:00 left. That's just ridiculous, we can sacrifice waiting in traffic to support our team, win or lose. We need to start yelling at these people to sit down or something.

While disappointing to see fans leave early in the game, I am more disappointed in WSU going bermuda triangle on us after the first four minutes and not returning until it didn't matter late in the game.
I don't blame fans for leaving when there is a poor product on the floor. I've followed WSU for many years but that doesn't mean I need to sit through bad basketball night in night out. Those with yellow tinted glasses, please proceed to hammer me as a fair weather fan,

I'm not into 'hammering' anyone. You're entitled to your opinion and if it's you that pays for a ticket and then decides to leave, that's your choice (and your $$). I just don't understand when the game is in question, which for brief minute it was last night, and for most of the game Wednesday night--why people leave knowing there's a chance we can come back. That's (in my opinion) when the team needs the crowd the most.
Again, I respect your opinion, and there's no doubt the level of play is not consistent right now. However, the guys are not slacking off on effort, and for me, I won't plan on slacking off either in trying to cheer them on as I can.
The really ironic thing is, my wife's a student, so I haven't had to pay for a ticket all season. It doesn't make it any less frustrating to deal with the ups and downs.

25 you are correct, the amazing thing about this season is that it is frustrating to be a Shocker and inspite of this everyone agrees "It's great to be a Shocker!". Having been on campus as a student under Fogler, Cohen, & Thompson these times are frustrating but certainly not trying. A new dawn is on the horizon and the program will see better days very soon.

Amen brother.
THINGS CAN NEVER GO BACK TO THE WAY THEY WERE IN THE EARLY 90's (when I was a student). Never again!
Through all this, I'm still 100% confident that we have the right man for the job (coach Marshall). I think maybe, just maybe last night he started to 'get' what kind of fans we have at WSU. This speculation is just based on comments he made in the post game and his assistants--not any inside information. Maybe, just maybe he'll realize his place is here, at least for awhile.

One shout out I'll give to the students is it is still an improvement over my first years of sitting in the student section. I remember showing up at tip off and sitting in the front row during Randy, Rob, and Jamar's first year. I was almost mad the last couple years when I had to show up 2 hours early to get a good seat. I'm not sure it's still at the 2 hour point right now, but it's definately not front row at tip off.

I'm guessing that those of you who are criticizing people for leaving early have never had a five year old vomit on you at halftime.
We've left two games early this year, both for the same reason: sick kids. I consider that a valid reason. I'm sure other valid reasons exist as well, some probably more so than others.
I'd suggest you not judge too harshly until you've walked around in that person's shoes...Wear your seatbelt.
