I don't think even later in the year we will see a lot of Early at the 3. For this team to really see its potential reached, Early has to play primarily at the 4. IMHO the best overall lineup is Armstead, Baker, Wessel or Wiggins, Early & Hall. This is a great balanced (offense/defense) lineup. Early at the 3 takes a more suited player (Wessel or Wiggins) to the bench. Hall would have to move to the 4 & EO or CJ to the 5.

I will put money on the team of Armstead, Baker, Wessel or Wiggins, Early, Hall vs. Armstead, Baker, Early, Hall, EO or CJ ever day, all day.

You're the one insinuating WSU play a lineup to include Early at the 3 vs. VCU. At least that is the way I read it. If that is the case you are all wet, because at the time (6 pm tomorrow) Early does not play the 3, so why talk about something that won't take place? I'm not making a big deal out of it (just having a little innocent fun), just pointing out an inaccurate point.

By the way, I enjoy all your posts. You are very insightful and thought provoking. Keep it up...seriously. I just don't always agree with your takes (thus...a fan board).

I was trying to make the point that while VCU has the personnel to run a bigger lineup, it would be an abnormal lineup for them. We also could run an abnormal lineup if that was the case, and still be taller. But under normal circumstances, both teams will run a smaller lineup than those, and our normal lineup would be taller. Essentially, I did a bad job of explaining my position.

You hit the nail on the head brother. They remind me of GMU after their run. This is a program with a handful of season tickets located in a VERY dangerous area with homeless that actually sleep on campus. Let's let them have their "shining moment". God knows they have a lot of challenges to deal with.

When they say that everyone at the school embraces "Havoc" defense, I never realized it was out of necessity.

I didn't realize their arena (gym) only held 7600. No wonder they're getting hard-ons over selling out their place. We have 2,000 more season ticket holders than what their entire arena holds.

Size helps, but skills trump size any day of the week. Look at Mizzou last year, they ran a four guard line up and did very well (sans Nicholls State). Personally, I gain more satisfaction from a WSU road win than a home one. Leaving the crowd shocked and speechless (Syracuse anyone?) is such a delight to see and listen to.

However for the third straight time, I will get to see the other black and yellow team come out on top and see that hairless smurf with his Mona Lisa smirk run past GM barely touching hands and go up to Carl Hall, give him a big hug, whisper in his ear and then walk away knowing he's thinking how much he owns us. Just disgusting but that'll be reality.
