Oh and I predict that if the Shox do in fact lose tonight many in the conference will dismiss us based just on this 1 game early in the season. A mistake that I guarantee will come back to haunt them later in the year. Especially since VCU would give Creighton a run for their money in the conference. IMHO VCU may end up being the best team we face all year long. Time will tell if that is correct. Sure wish this game was at least in December, but it is what it is.

One of my main concerns for tonight's game is our fouling. This team is going to be alot quicker and more aggressive than any most of these players have faced. I'm concerned we may foul too much, which will cause us to slack on defense a little and shorten our bench. I'm betting we see some zone out of the Shox even though coach doesn't care to run it much.

If my memory serves me correctly when we pressed VCU in the NCAA last year is when we played our best and took the lead.
I really hope we come out and press and switch defenses. Unfortunately our experience level may not allow this to happen.

I imagine that's going to go down after a few years in the A-10. Enjoy bragging about it while it lasts.

I wouldn't consider stating fact as bragging, but if that's how you want to look at go right ahead (I thought I was pretty respectful in my post).

And a quick fact to address your latest response: VCU hasn't last to an A-10 team at home over the last decade (12-0, that's a 100% winning percentage for those who don't like doing math). So sure, the A-10 should present some more challenging opponents, but don't think for a second VCU isn't building a stronger program with our move to that conference as well (two top-100 recruits this year).
