#5. Produce photos of Elgin with said fat stinky hog woman
#6. Hand Elgin a piece of paper stating that WSU does not have to participate with this stupid BB thing ever again.
#7. Return to Wichita and celebrate.

Or 4 if we meet up in St. Louis. That would be OK with me. Not sure either Coach would go for that though.

I does appear that BB is getting close to being put out to pasture if the current trend continues.

Appy State is out of Bracketbusters? Seriously? They passed on this event and we're still stuck in the thing?

Sad because the original concept of having non-BCS teams that earned entry by previous season successes was good. ESPN turned it into a welfare program of sorts and has marginilized it to the point of being useless.

                    Here's the thing ---

If the WCC, among other conferences, gets to have some of its top teams (Gonzaga, BYU) opt out of this event, Creighton and WSu should be given the same option.

ESPN kicking out the CAA because they were mad about the CAA contracting with the NBC sports Network, along with VCu and BUtler joining the A10 and no longer eligible as participants, has weakened this even beyond repair IMO.

Are you for certain that the conference can mandate it? I thought ESPN mandated it by saying there had to be full conference participation, otherwise the league as a whole would take a hit in games televised by them. I think the WSU and CU brands may have elevated to the point where we don't need a guarantee in order to get our better games picked up by either ESPN or some alternative networks?

With NBCSports and CBSSportsNet around now, ESPN would be losing out on potential good games if they gave the boot to us and CU. Its not like those games will be around to pick up if they dont choose to right away. This event has to go. Plain and simple. It has run its course. Time for something new. Say a non-bcs showcase with 2 to 4 games played at a neutral site around Christmas time?

Maybe even a two day event with 8 games total. Im sure that a city would love to host if it involved the right teams. Say a WCC team or two. An A-10 or two along with 2 MVC and 2 MWC schools. That would be quite an event.

In a heartbeat. Host it in KC or Vegas. Maybe even Chicago. Of course they would probably have to rotate out certain teams from the A-10 over the years. They do have alot of quality programs.

Maybe this would be a good event for CBS to start up.
