He has been on Nutrisystem, he's pretty trim now.

Do his biceps look like basketballs? Orupkes do.

And if basketball was a posing sport that might be of great value. Obviously, you can't be a big ball of blubber and we all know that while you have to be strong to play the game Sir Charles himself was living proof that you don't have to be an adonis to play the game at a very high level. Nor did Larry Bird exactly turn heads on the swimming beaches, at least not because of his muscles.

I will say I am looking forward to seeing how EO handles Etchasketchnay when they match up this year. I will say that Etchasketchnay has the advantage of experience and he seems to understand how to play dirty without getting caught.

Cyclops only has one good eye (hence the name) and he's slow as hell.

Yeah GE is a good player and all but he's not exactly intimidating the way a dude like mcdermott or weems is. He's great defensively and I mean him respect, but I think there is enough reason to believe our guys can hang with him. I'm hoping for our guys to man up and provide a good matchup. Should be a couple of fun games to watch. We better be ready to bring it when we play cu. I can't wait.

GE is big and strong. Also has quick feet in the paint. He has too much size for most of the MVC, but we will match up well against him.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. We may not have a whole lot of reason at this point to expect to SCORE a bunch on him in the post, but I think there is enough reason to believe we will be able to hold him mostly in check, too. I bet there is going to be some awesome action in the post in those games. When Stutz played him, it was a finesse/defense matchup. When we play him this year, its going to be a defense/defense matchup. Maybe some good hard fouls, blocked shots and lots of dirty work trying to get position.

We have him for two years right?

How does his mobility compare to Blair?

How does his footwork (post moves) compare to Durley?

                        Is he skinny, muscled, or...?

Does he prefer the backboard or dunk?

Does he go for the block?

                        Is he mean?

Not sure about all this, but I have a feeling he's been through the fiery furnace :)

Actually, when Echenique went up against Stutz, GE always came out on top. WSU went on their runs in both games las year while Stutz was on the bench with foul trouble and WSU went with the smaller, quicker line-up that caused the Jays a lot of match-up problems.

I agree with that. I was speaking on the skill set matchup, not the in game outcomes. GE was the one who could always seem to control Garrett. I expect him to be even tougher this year. Our guys will have their work cut out for them. Not sure what you thought I was saying?

I'm going to go ahead and assume we will have a lot less problems from Echenique this year. He might have a cannon-ball build, but he's 6'9" 270. EO has the body to hold him, as does CJ. The team knows Creighton is there, and they will be prepared. I am excited to play Creighton two or three times next year, especially the way HCGM led a 20 pt. blow-out in front of the biggest basketball crowd in the state's history.

Now to become Public Enemy #1 on ShockerNet...

G Stutz looked soft against Echenique (sorry, guys), I don't expect that from our bigs this year.
