Already a bit nervous with the hire. This doesn't help for me. Mills success is heavily linked to one recruiting class. The assistants staying at ORU are the ones that are credited with finding those guys.

Gotta hope for the best.

It was Dana Ford who found and recruited Fred VanVleet. It was Chris Jans who found and recruited Ron Baker. Those two guuys had A LOT to do with Marshall's success.

It's almost always the assistants who find the recruits. It's the HC who seals the deal. Mills probably has the contacts to find some assistants with recruiting ties.

Very impressive interview. With all due respect to Isaac Brown I don't believe the ability to communicate, especially in a public setting, was one of his strengths. It seems pretty obvious that this is a strength of Coach Mills. Now how much that will contribute to success on the basketball court remains to be seen but I would think it certainly will be a positive factor in re-energizing the fan base.
