Marshall will not coach again, and if he does, it sure as hell will not be here. Every knowledgeable person on this board has said as much.

Then don't miss quote me. Every single one of my statements has been about Marshall coaching here and whether we should try to rehire him.

I have no doubt some school will give him another chance. The problem for us is rehiring a coach that you fired for alleged abuse and made sign a separation agreement saying he would never represent WSU again is it opens up massive legal and liability hurdles that just make it basically impossible.

All of that is without considering the financial implications... Which like you mentioned MIGHT not be a problem. But who knows if those donors would come back.

The "woke" aspect isn't even in the top 3 of my reasons of why he won't coach here ... But it's also a consideration of how effective he would be in the "new world" NCAA vs 5 years ago.

I can’t believe that there are many (if any) on this board who think there is a chance that he will coach here again.

So 66% of the trips came under a coach other than Marshall? Sounds like decent odds we can do it again. I'm not resigned to thinking that we are only Wichita State because of Gregg Marshall. He sure helped, that's for damn sure, but he's not our only path back to success.

So Gregg coached the last two in 2013 and 2015 (during his12 years). It took 9 coaches to get to the remaining four, and there was a 17 year drought between Gary Thompson, and Gene Smithson. And a 24 year drought (4 coaches) between a Gene S., and Mark Turgeon. We need to get the right coach that has the leadership capabilities right away. No time to waste.

I always appreciate optimism. However, We’ve reached the Sweet 16 a grand total of 6 times in 62 years. What’s the possibility that many of us will be dead before it happens again? Two of those 6 times came with Gregg as our General. Twice in he 60’s, once in the 80’s, and once 2006. Sorry for Not feeling so optimistic.

IB buyout from now til May is $4M. After that it is $1.8M I believe. ADKS needs to start negotiations yesterday. The downside is who will coach this team. Kennedy doesn't speak well at this point in his disease, so that leaves...nobody. Ugh!
