It seems the transfer portal has led to more parity, which is good. That parity comes at the expense of continuity, which is bad.

It's bad when schools that won't spend meaningful resources on sports are getting the better talent. It's bad when schools that are spending resources can't reap the long term reward of their marketing, recruiting, coaching and scholarship investments.

On the other hand, it's good if schools with limited resources have a chance to compete. And it's also good when schools with overwhelming resources can't horde (and even shelf some of) the better talent.

It's a tough equation to balance.

I'll give you UCF.. They should finish above us. To be clear, I wasn't saying we will finish third... Just that if we did... We might still not sniff the NIT.

Tulane so far... Hasn't shown much either. Best win is KP 190 buffalo. The rest are all 200-300. They also own losses to George Mason, Fordham and Western Kentucky. So based on what they returned they should be better than us but nothing of their performance so far this year says they actually are.
