I will give you that the AAC is worse than one would have expected this year, and we're part of that problem. Tulsa is under new leadership and worse than I would have thought. SMU is struggling more than I would have expected. We know ECU and USF are pretty much bound for the bottom of the conference. Cincinnati isn't great, but still probably better than us. I think I had us pegged for about 8th before the season started. We might be able to get as high as 6th, but I think 7th or 8th is still where we land.

    @ UCF - L
    vs ECU - W
    vs CIN - L
    @ USF - W but could be an L
    vs TUL - W
    @ MEM - L
    @ SMU - L but could be a W
    vs TULANE - L
    @ ECU - W
    vs HOU - L
    @ TUL - W but could be an L
    vs UCF - L
    vs SMU - W
    @ TEM - W but could be an L
    vs MEM - L
    @ TULANE - L
    @ HOU - L
    vs USF - W

My best case has us 9-9 and worst case 5-13. I think we end up in that range.
I'll give you UCF.. They should finish above us. To be clear, I wasn't saying we will finish third... Just that if we did... We might still not sniff the NIT.

Tulane so far... Hasn't shown much either. Best win is KP 190 buffalo. The rest are all 200-300. They also own losses to George Mason, Fordham and Western Kentucky. So based on what they returned they should be better than us but nothing of their performance so far this year says they actually are.

      Alcorn State aside… lol

      • Eastern Illinois beats Iowa. They came in as 32 pt underdogs. Being considered as the biggest point spread upset in the last 30 years

        • As it stands right now with the non-con ending, the American is 10th in RPI and very likely a 2-bid conference.

The MWC conference is 6th ahead of the PAC-10.

KenPom has us finishing at 9-9, 5th in the conference. Not far behind Cincinnati, not far ahead of Tulane.
