Seriously...I love FVV at #1, but even if you only compare head to head and same team players, there are a minimum of 5 guys ahead of Ron that played against/with that he outplayed badly. Hate that FoxSports would hurt their own credibility that way. What a wonderful story about Fred in SI. I had tears in my eyes, reading about how hard things were for him as a child. Then, I laughed when I read about the kangaroo court which adjudicates players' infractions of the unwritten code. Great read.Comment

I'm fully aware Turgeon was brought in as a "consultant". I'm also fully aware that he absolutely wanted Melo on the team. I found it very interesting how Coach Marshall pulled no punches in his interview with Jim Rome yesterday when he was asked about FWinner being left off the PanAm team. He flat said they would have won the gold with Fred. They sorely needed a point guard who could distribute the ball.Comment
