WSU made it in this year as the second worst NET team to ever make the tourney. That's power team treatment. Does anyone in their right mind think we make it in as a 72 NET from the MVC?

When you say “elite basketball” it really boils down to getting a couple potential NBA players on the team. We can get back there. We were “elite” with Fred, Cle and Ron. We were good but not elite with Landry, Shaq, Reaves, etc. Those were good teams whether they would’ve been the MVC or AAC.Comment

I know there's a lot of talk about Jenkins' potential. We haven't seen much of him and I obviously don't know his personality, but outside of The Process, I'm not sure I've seen such negative body language.Comment

A team can obviously have great success coming out of the Valley. We proved it over the years as have many other teams.
Conference affiliation doesn’t equate to success whether it’s the Valley, the American, or the ACC. Great teams have great success regardless of conference.Comment

Agreed. Conference affiliation isn’t the ticket to success (as most BCS level Basketball programs prove year in year out). Under Gregg Marshall is was a matter of if, not when, we got back to being a great team. It’s possible we can get there with IB too he just doesn’t have the track record of Marshall so we just need time to see what happens.
A great team in the American is going to get a higher seed than a great team in the Valley a great majority of the time. Having a better seed doesn’t guarantee deep runs but it makes it easier because you can avoid the other top teams longer even if it’s just a game or two.
I loved the Valley, still do. It’s an underrated conference.
We are better off long term in the American.Comment

To make it in the NBA, TE needs to work on:
- Handling
- Driving and Finishing at the basket
- Mid-Range
- FTs!!!!!
