I am truly saddened by this outcome. Think it may very well come back to haunt the basketball program for some time to come. However as I've said previously, I'm a glass half empty sort and may be overreacting a bit.

Who knows, although Shaq's tweet of a cop chasing down a black man (who was innocent?) with a gun was rather telling, along with his insulting comment associated with it, in light of current events, for whatever that's worth.

The emoji was actually a pilot instead of a cop. I thought cop too at first, but then Kung Wu said something in a post about a pilot so I looked it up - can you believe there's actually a web site for emojis - and it fit the pilot. Didn't make sense though but then with the gun you get air marshal if you try really hard (an air marshal is not an armed pilot but this is Shaq we're talking about). Not sure what the running man meant though, although I threw out a theory it was related to Gregg Allman due to his song about running but who knows. Shaq probably figures people wouldn't figure it out or maybe he just can't bring himself to say Gregg Marshall's name on twitter.

Maybe someone like Paul Suellentrop will write a book about all of this some day. It's always good to have a definitive book or article(s) out there and he probably knows as much about the program as anyone.

My 2 cents. Coach was always going to get paid since this wasn’t handled when it happened. The AD had to know.

I doubt GM ever coaches again. Why would he? This crap will follow him wherever he goes.

Time to move on and support our interim coach and the team. I hope they do well this year and Coach Brown gets the job full time. I renewed my tickets this year and I certainly hope I get to see them play in person. I am and always will be a Shocker. WSU will get past this.

I hope the new president of WSU will be pro business like Dr Bardo was. We need his type of leadership running the university.

I'm actually very happy for Gregg Marshall. His family is healthy, he's loaded, and he's accomplished far more than he ever would have dreamed when he got his first job as an assistant at Randolph-Macon. 35 years of coaching. Look what you accomplished sir! Enjoy it!
