Tonight, I got to reconnect with him. He not only remembered me, but told me I gave him his first real paycheck. Which is crazy knowing the mammoth contract he just signed with the Houston Rockets. I’d say he’s done quite a bit for our fair city. Thanks, Fred.

I had forgotten that there was some bad blood between WSU and VCU over the recruitment of Carl Hall. Carl said that he had committed to VCU but at the last second felt a change of heart, switching his commitment to WSU.
If I knew this next part, I really had forgotten it, because I have no recollection of this part of the story. Carl said that when he switched to WSU, Shaka called Carl's mom and cussed her out.
