I think Dex is coming back, and when he does, he will be the Dex we remember. Put that on this team and the Shox have got some stuff!

Perhaps Dex wants to move on from basketball. I respect his judgement. I've seen nothing that indicates he makes decisions that aren't good decisions for him. His prep school coach is on the staff, so this is unlikely to be a problem between a player and the coaching staff.

My positive thought for Dex is let him do what he thinks he needs to do. He was a critical piece in getting the Shox a historic run to MSG in the NIT.

I think Dex is coming back. Just needed some time away from the pressure of playing for a top-25 team, getting a 4.0, and dealing with the anniversary of the loss of a close friend. That's three incredibly hard things to do. Dex thinking he needs a few extra days to figure out his priorities is understandable.

Shocker men's golf course sent his note of encouragement to Dex.

I want Dexter to absolutely do what’s right and needed for Dexter, and if that means he walks away from the game, so be it, but can you imagine the energy level the first time he is introduced should he return? It will be amazing.

When I was playing in blues bands, I learned this song. The lyrics are pretty straight forward, but they tell a story that few of us can comprehend. But that story is very real to many people who grew up in circumstances less fortunate than most of us had growing up.

Listen to the lyrics and try to put yourself in the position of the person who came up with those lyrics. That's the hell that Dex has to deal with.

That's a positive vibe Aargh? Everyone is different. None of us really know what Dex is going through. We just want Dex to find peace of mind and, if he is willing and able, to rejoin his Shocker teammates for memorable ride over the next few years while completing his education. And if that is not in the cards most of us (I think) will only wish the best for him.

Great Band! Bloomfield is one of the most underrated guitarists ever.

It's impossible to feel the pain others have experienced in their lives. Understanding that pain and how that pain came to be is a strong show of support for someone who's been damaged by their experiences in life.

I’m going to assume he didn’t make it back to Wichita on the 26th as was hoped for.

I just get the feeling he isn’t coming back. However I’m a natural pessimist.

I do hope he gets it all figured out regardless, obviously.

Stop with all this "take all the time you need" jabber. He needs REAL advice. And he needs it NOW.

First, Dexter needs to break up with his girlfriend if he has one. And if he still likes her, get back with her than break up with her again. Talk about therapeutic!

He should also overload on some homemade brownies and bbq chips and root beer and try not to pass out on the couch while watching a bowling tourney. I darn near made it all the way through watching a UNI game before this therapy did me in, so if he's not a pansy he should be able to handle it at his age.

Then he needs to log into Fortnite and rage at all the sweaty ten year olds that they are noobs that couldn't build a Lego set.

But mainly he needs to get his butt back into a gym.

Now THAT's some REAL high-dollar therapy advice for absolutely nothing, right here on Shockernet.
Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
