    • We deserve to be in Top 25 that comes out tomorrow.... however you know how the voters are. I bet were 25-30

I'll stack my chips on us being 26 in the coaches poll and 28 in the AP.

            • I'm not sure we "deserve" to be ranked....I think we're about where we should be. Michigan and Vanderbilt are way overrated imho, Illinois perhaps too. No way Stanford should be getting more votes (or any for that matter).

              • Using the ESPN/USA Today poll, here are the teams above us and how they've fared in the last two weeks. For what it is worth, only WSU and St. Mary's are 5-0 over that span. (among these teams)

I think Louisville and Illinois will be dropping out of the poll. New Mexico lost two last week, though to ranked teams both (SDSU and UNLVO

A question is how many votes do we take from some of the faltering teams, like Seton Hall. Do we take votes from a 2-loss Middle Tenn. State?

I just don't see us making much ground up in tomorrow's polls.

I concur with the good Doc on this one. Let's hope we just quietly take care of our business as we approach some very tough games. Then toward the end, when wins are a premium, then I want us to peak like a grand finale on the 4th of July. Then we can strive to end up strong in not only the rankings, but number 1 here amongst the 3 bigs in Kansas, and last one standing among us at the Dance.Whew!!! This is a tall order but a feller must have dreams. This has not happened much, but it has and is likely to happen again some fine Season to remember.

                  • I think we would do quite well against some of those top 25 teams, especially on a neutral court. I watch KU, MU KSU all the time and I have no doubt we could hang with them.

                    • Warren Nolan RPIs (as of 10pm Sunday night): Creighton 18, WSU 24, UNI 42, SWOMO- 83, The Drake-96, Ill. St -120, Indy State- 131 (man have they fallen, they were top 50 less than a month ago) UE-145, BU- 188, SIU- 232.

We survived the 4 game BU & SIU rpi hit in great shape. If we keep on winning, our RPI will only get better.

Other teams of interest: UNLV-8, Temple- 19, Alabama- 33, Colorado -64

                      • Definitely not gonna be in the Top 25 this week. As Doc and ABC alluded to, teams in front of us have to lose and usually lose to bad teams for us to move up, even if we do well. That's how poll mechanics work.

I would expect us to be in the 28-32 range. The AP poll may be lower, simply because we're further away in that one.

                        • I didn't see Nolan's "The Nitty Gritty Report" or NPI rating mentioned. The first has no negative items for WSU and two positive ones. The second ranks CU at #4 and WSU at #12. (Syracuse, Murray State and Missouri are #1,2,3 in the NPI FWIW.)

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

                            • Okay with me to fly under the radar at this juncture. We will get our chance soon enough and we will then know how good we really are.
