Im sure they'll make a ruling sometime in January.

      Anything? Anything at all???

      Geez...

You'd think they would get this decision done before practices started. Give the kid some mental peace while going to classes for God's sake.

Mustapha Heron just got a hardship waiver to play for St. John's this year. Given the other waivers that have been given for similar situations so far this offseason, I'm not sure how the NCAA could deny Teddy at this point. Then l remember we are talking about the NCAA...

What were the circumstances for Heron?

I have the same question, and really, about all of them. According to this article https://www.rumbleinthegarden.com/20...-st-johns-2018 Heron's mom is sick and he wanted to be closer to her. But, apparently the young man has been the victim of indecision during his rather brief collegiate career. Not sure how the NCAA will view Teddy's situation but I agree with many others that his chances have to be much better this year than in years past. #FreeTeddy

I believe the NCAA really wanted to eliminate the sit-out year with the recent rule chsnges.... granting hardship waivers is a means to an end. I am optimistic Teddy will get a waiver.

I also happen to think the sit-out rule was actually in a lot of kids’ best interest. A year to concentrate on system, strength, education, etc. seemed to be a huge help for many.

I feel like I keep hearing stories about waivers being granted but are there any stories this off season of waivers being denied?

Nov 9th is my "drop-dead" day. I think we can handle the first two without him pretty easily but providence will be tough.

FadedCrown and the Exhibition. Just saying we have over 3 weeks until the game i considered critical to get an answer. So not all hope is lost yet.

I've tried looking on-line for a list of all transfers that have applied for a "hardship" or whatever to be eligible for this season...and nary a one to be found. Anybody else have any luck?

we'll know when we know. I'm taking the approach that he's a typical transfer and will play next year. There is a glimmer of chance that he plays this year, but not counting on it.

Why would the NCAA want to shine the light of transparency on their operations?
