I believe Taylor said last month they still had not heard back. So his official status is not eligible at this point.

I have some hope though. I've seen 2 or 3 players get waivers this summer.

EDIT: Taylor confirmed this on twitter. His hardship waiver does not have a final decision yet.

I'll tell you this right now... if Buckets gains eligibility, all bets are off! This kid plays like a man! Confidence is just oozing out of his sneakers. He's a carbon-copy of Gregg Marshall with respect to attitude and swagger. If Gregg can harness his mini-me, we are in for a LOT of fun. Buckets is pissed and has something to prove. He imposed his will on the B12, he expects to let his nuts hang in the AAC.

Conspiracy theory alert - they will not make public the decision to allow Teddy to participate this year until all the Top-25 preseason predictions and other hyperbole list are out to the masses. That way the rest of the college basketball world can get a rest from hearing all about our Shockers. That is until the season starts of course. ;)

No update on Teddy Allen's case with the NCAA for a waiver. Still no word from the NCAA and no set timetable for a ruling.

Well, not necessarily -- what if there's nothing to know? For example, if the waiver request is sitting in a pile on someone's desk in whatever NCAA office handles such things, and the pile owner hasn't made it that far down yet?

Or perhaps the pile owner is heavily involved in the academic fraud issue at Colorado State, so that the NCAA can show clearly and decisively that they will not tolerate academic fraud at member universities.
