Read Paul's rundown on Shockwaves. One thing that I did not know was that our one-year JUCO transfer Scott Schebler is also draft elibible this year.

So these are the key guys IMHO that are on the draft bubble this summer:

      Jordan Cooper
      Tim Kelley
      Johnny Coy
      Preston Springer
      Scott Schebler
      Albert Minnis
      Dayne Parker

This draft could be very benign or very damaging. Cooper and Kelley, of course, would be the biggest losses. Hopefully, one or both return as Shockers next year.

FYI - JUCO players are always eligible. That is why Bryce Harper went the JUCO route.

Will we drop the baseball program as well, since we have no chance of success in the future? Shouldn't we?

You have now distinguished yourself as the biggest Moron who ever posted on Shockernet. For this I have to give you a round of applause.
I will keep this post in mind after the draft is over and when the fall semester begins.

What's Coop and Coy got to do with it? Ashockalypse never said that they wouldn't go in the draft. He's merely expressing his strong belief that Shocker baseball would recover from the draft loses, (if they happen). He didn't even say when it would "recover", maybe next year, maybe a year or two afterwards.

BA rates only 1 shocker being in top 200

                122. Jordan Cooper - Projected 3rd or 4th rounder

Their state by state roundup for Kansas has not came out yet.

If he goes in the third or fourth we can say bye bye to coop

Honestly... I think if he goes in the top 5 to 7 rounds, he'll be gone.

I believe it begins at 6 and the first round is shown on the MLB network. All other rounds are exclusively on mlb.com.

This evening are the Top 50 picks which represent the 1st and supplemental compensation round.

Not expecting any current or future Shockers to be affected by tonights proceedings.

The remainder of the draft will be on Tuesday and Wednesday and can be followed at MLB.com
