Might be but Elijah Hainline is an infielder and pitching is a much bigger need. Hainline no doubt would be a good get if he doesn't get drafted. This article listing 2024 top 200 college player draft rankings has him at #153.

At this point though I think Coach Green should reserve the Yuge, Yuge, Yuge wheat woodies for high level, high potential pitchers.

I am trying to convince myself it's not Hainline. He's draft eligible and I think likely to go (kind of defeating the 3X huge imho). Also, we have the Baseball Factory #96 incoming freshman Darnell Parker already slated for the SS position. Can't imagine we're bringing in a top 100 kid (that we're going to have to sweat the draft with as well) then recruiting right over him with a seasoned veteran transfer. But what do I know? (answer, not much these days).

I'm hoping HUGE is 5-12 overlooked stud pitchers we've uncovered.

If anything using “huge huge huge” might suggest multiple commits.

True, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Although I don't think he has triple up on using "huge" before and I don't think he has paired any signals up with a Ted Lasso hype dance before.

So whatever it is, Coach Green seems to be pumped up about it, but that may be his normal state of being. Hugeness, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder so we will have to see.

Personally, I will be a bit let down if it is not a quality pitcher or 2 or 3.

My guess is that it is Hainline from Washington St. He informed another site he was done taking visits and made up his mind. Timing lines up and he is one of the only guys worthy of a 3X Huge.

Soooo this was his dads response on Twitter about 2 weeks ago when asked if he would transfer to WSU and follow his former coach:

“No, he isn’t. He enjoyed playing for BG but for reasons I won’t discuss he is going elsewhere. You’ll enjoy having him as your coach.”

I agree. A nice pickup. I would even go so far as to say a Big get at this point in the process.

It is a pitcher with a good arm and good stuff and good potnetial. I remains to be seen if he will turn out to be triple huge but I like the signing.
